Fall Festival....indoors.

Fall Festival out here is each individual class creates a game to earn money for their classroom funds.

Our Fall Festival is normally the night before the Homecoming Parade/Football game, BUT we've been getting tons of wonderful rain so they moved it to last night.  NORMALLY it is out on the football field with bounce houses, mock jail houses, hamster balls, etc....but due to the rain yet again this year it was in the activity gym.  I got to experience each little class booth first hand this year, following Brooke around which I don't normally get to do.

She decorated a cupcake...

Tossed the football and yes, she made it...

She shot pictures of her principal....

Played Plinko...

Devoured junk food, including a Kona Sno-cone while waiting in line to catch her own gold fish...

You got to try to catch your own gold fish by hand....this was the biggest hit of the night, the line was long enough to devour an entire sno-cone while waiting.

And our new addition, Fred.  I think he is a coy, which will get huge and dirty.....so, he might end up in a fountain somewhere if he gets too dirty....but we will deal with that later.

It was a fun night....I tried to take lots of pictures since her Daddy couldn't be there with us.

It Rained on our Parade....no, really it did!

Today was our annual Homecoming parade.
On a side note, we've been praying for rain for MONTHS....we are getting it....NOW.  We are not complaining one bit, but must say we have laughed a lot over the last few days.  Yesterday our Fall Festival was post-poned due to rain.  An hour later the blue skies were showing and the sun was out.  Today, the parade was ON....rain and all!  Our 3rd Grader was a gum ball machine! We might have thrown ear muffs and a coat on her at the last minute. ;)

I am including some of the other floats for proof....

Our girl is right in the middle on this trailer.

One thing that has made me laugh today is thinking how many memories are being made.  I am trying NOT to think about how many will end up with colds and will focus on the giggles and wet hair do's instead.

Fun Side Note, our Audrey Hepburn won FIRST place, got candy and a special picture for the yearbook.  She is pretty happy!  I told her that shows that it's not about how much money you spend on the costume, but about how creative you are instead!

Homecoming Week, Day 3 - Group Day

Because people have made me paranoid when it comes to posting pictures of other people's kids online, just look at my precious "nerd" and imagine 3 pink nerds and 3 purple nerds for Group Day....all girly girls and adorable!
