Forgot about some of these pictures.

I forgot to post the pictures of her bowling reward trip, which was the day before her birthday.  They also got to have lunch at the park and play....but, did I think to get my camera out for that?!  You will see....

Patiently waiting her turn.

She would come over and talk to myself, Granny and Grandad any chance she got.

And, she got ONE strike and ONE spare....I am pretty sure she easily beat my score the last time I bowled....

If only.

If only she knew how stinking cute she is in jeans.....she might wear them more often! Imagine my SHOCK when she told me she wanted to wear JEANS today! Luckily I keep one pair that fits her at all times in case they are required for school functions!!

Sick/Rest Day

For those of you who don't live in West Texas, but read this blog. This weekend was bad in the wind department. Brown skies every day and bad enough wind to knock a full grown adult over. This lovely wind tends to bring in rough days for a kid with allergy asthma. I will spare details, but Monday morning before 5am Brooke woke up and didn't rest at all after that. I decided to keep her home to let her hang out, rest (after the busy weekend, she needed it more than normal), and to also give her breathing treatments as needed here instead of the school nurses office.

Here is what she did most of the day: Do you think Grandad is enjoying it too?! No, she wasn't asleep, she doesn't nap AT ALL....but she did lay around a LOT that day and she needed it.

The only spurt of energy she seemed to have that day inspired her ballet princess/roller skating time....you can tell by the dark circles under her eyes she was exhausted!

Diagnosis from Dr. Brooke

Sunday afternoon we were hanging out around the house with my parents, when she decided to be the doctor of the house. She was very serious about it and checked every one out from head to.....well, TOE. Below is the precious diagnosis she came up with for her Granny! How right on she is!

In case you can't read it, it says "Cold Toe Itis" and make sure to count the toes on the feet....and notice the ice cubes on the big toes......she makes me smile non stop!

Birthday Overload!

Our beautiful baby girl is now officially SIX years old!! I know I say 'time flies' all the time, and at least weekly wish it didn't fly by SO fast....but then again she is happy, healthy and growing normally....what more could parents truly ask for?! Having a six year old makes me feel older....there is NOTHING babyish about her anymore, but she will always be our baby. This post contains a LOT of pictures, but not too much talk.....it was a wonderful day, celebrating our FAVORITE person on the planet.....Brooke, you changed our lives SO much and we wouldn't trade you or a single minute with you for the world!!

Before we left for her 10am skating party....she said she was a Rockstar Princess!

The setup at the skating rink.....she loved all the pink and purple. Nana and Daddy, you two did a wonderful job on the cakes, thank you again!

Sorry it's blurry....but here is what she requested yet again, this year Barbie....thanks Nana!

And, Daddy just had fun with this cake. The whole part of RSVPing, lots of people still don't do, so we decided we would rather have too much cake than not enough....

My Favorite girl.....well, ever....that's my job as her Mommy remember?!

With my awesome parents, aka Grandad and Granny.

One silly girl, with her smitten parents!

Steven's sweet folks, aka Nana and Paw.

Sorry to post the backside Steven, but I wanted to share that he got on some skates and skates like and OLD pro.... ;oP.

Nana caught me being silly on Brooke's bike before guests started arriving...

She just had non stop fun! It looks like it fits her better than it does me....

She wanted to roller skate, so I was glad her Daddy was there to show how you really do it!

Can you tell she loved the attention?! She smiled the entire time.

Her lips were moving while we were singing to her.

MAKE A WISH!!

Telling Momma how and where to cut the cake....

I tried to hand her the first piece, as birthdays traditionally go.....she instead decided to hand out almost every single piece of cake to her guests.

We finally talked her into sitting and eating cake with her friends.....we knew she needed to get started because she is the SLOWEST eater!

Opening lots of wonderful and generous presents from her friends. Thank you again everyone!

And, back at home she opened presents from her parents and both sets of grandparents...

This was my favorite thing she received for her birthday. A wonderful hand made quilt from her Nana. Nana did a wonderful job on it, and Brooke refuses to cover up with any other blanket now!

Our BIG six year old!!

No, her foot isn't THAT big....the skates I ordered her are bigger than I imagined they would be....but that hasn't stopped her from roller skating ALL over the house every day since!

This one's blurry too unfortunately, but she is showing off her fake nails and her fake diamonds...

It was a wonderful day of celebration. It was so busy however, that I didn't have time to get sad or sappy.....that's a good thing! Happy Birthday Angel!!

Beautiful Easter Weekend!

Not in the mood to talk much today (weird I know!), so use your imagination.....we had a great weekend filled with fun, and too much candy (that is probably why I don't want to talk....me + candy = icky cranky Momma).

I honestly LOVE anything we do with this angel.....

Proof she is girly 100% of the time.....this is how she dressed for Basketball....

Huntin' eggs....high and low.

I giggled at this shot.....then said "not THAT high" for the eggs...

Maybe my not wanting to talk much stems from the fact that my BABY will be six this Saturday....GULP.....time flies for sure!

Huntin' Wabbits....I mean Eggs!

These kids were SO excited this morning when I left Brooke at school, so I have NO idea how their sweet teacher kept them tamed until 2:20! Here is Brooke's, aka Mrs. Starkey's class ready to go get their eggs! They always make sure to keep it fair my writing a particular letter or this year their initials on them and they can only pick up theirs! Kept us all searching for quite some time!

And with the priceless Mrs. Starkey!

After several minutes of searching she finally found one that was hers!

I just had to share this one because it makes me giggle....this Easter Egg hunting thing looks like it's HARD work! Could a girl run any girlier?! I think not!

AND, Then they had a banana split party!! MMMMMM!!! I helped serve, and I only mention that because hours later after we'd been home for a while I noticed I STILL had it all over my arms!

I think she liked it.....wouldn't you agree??

Somebunny is ready for her Easter Egg Hunt!

SomeBUNNY was sure ready for her Easter Egg hunt at school today! If you only knew the funny things that she requests.....I am convinced we are IN trouble as she gets older by how particular she already is! She always wears a particular gold locket with this dress, then we HAD to find a particular gold bracelet....it HAD to be the one Nana and Paw gave her....THEN she was flabergasted because her earrings were EGAD....SILVER....so, we had to change those to gold ones as well. I didn't bother to even tease her about the silver shoes because I KNEW that would be another process! HAHA!

Love this BUNNY!

Do YOU think these people are related?!

We got to have dinner with Steven's brother, aka Uncle Tracy last night. Always enjoy the visiting!

Just curious.....do YOU see the family resemblance!
