Our beautiful baby girl is now officially SIX years old!! I know I say 'time flies' all the time, and at least weekly wish it didn't fly by SO fast....but then again she is happy, healthy and growing normally....what more could parents truly ask for?! Having a six year old makes me feel older....there is NOTHING babyish about her anymore, but she will always be our baby. This post contains a LOT of pictures, but not too much talk.....it was a wonderful day, celebrating our FAVORITE person on the planet.....Brooke, you changed our lives SO much and we wouldn't trade you or a single minute with you for the world!!
Before we left for her 10am skating party....she said she was a Rockstar Princess!
The setup at the skating rink.....she loved all the pink and purple. Nana and Daddy, you two did a wonderful job on the cakes, thank you again!
Sorry it's blurry....but here is what she requested yet again, this year Barbie....thanks Nana!
And, Daddy just had fun with this cake. The whole part of RSVPing, lots of people still don't do, so we decided we would rather have too much cake than not enough....
My Favorite girl.....well, ever....that's my job as her Mommy remember?!
With my awesome parents, aka Grandad and Granny.
One silly girl, with her smitten parents!
Steven's sweet folks, aka Nana and Paw.
Sorry to post the backside Steven, but I wanted to share that he got on some skates and skates like and OLD pro.... ;oP.
Nana caught me being silly on Brooke's bike before guests started arriving...
She just had non stop fun! It looks like it fits her better than it does me....
She wanted to roller skate, so I was glad her Daddy was there to show how you really do it!
Can you tell she loved the attention?! She smiled the entire time.
Her lips were moving while we were singing to her.
MAKE A WISH!!
Telling Momma how and where to cut the cake....
I tried to hand her the first piece, as birthdays traditionally go.....she instead decided to hand out almost every single piece of cake to her guests.
We finally talked her into sitting and eating cake with her friends.....we knew she needed to get started because she is the SLOWEST eater!
Opening lots of wonderful and generous presents from her friends. Thank you again everyone!
And, back at home she opened presents from her parents and both sets of grandparents...
This was my favorite thing she received for her birthday. A wonderful hand made quilt from her Nana. Nana did a wonderful job on it, and Brooke refuses to cover up with any other blanket now!
Our BIG six year old!!
No, her foot isn't THAT big....the skates I ordered her are bigger than I imagined they would be....but that hasn't stopped her from roller skating ALL over the house every day since!
This one's blurry too unfortunately, but she is showing off her fake nails and her fake diamonds...
It was a wonderful day of celebration. It was so busy however, that I didn't have time to get sad or sappy.....that's a good thing! Happy Birthday Angel!!
