Almost caught up!!

Some times I seem to forget that here in small town TEXAS, USA we still have freedoms that other school students seem to have had taken away.  They still say their pledges every morning, as well as have prayers before any and all school functions.  They have very godly teachers, good role models I am proud to send my daughter to school with every day.  Projects like this remind me how blessed we truly are, and why I want our child raised HERE!

Another Pep Rally Day!

More yummy fun from our garden!

Fun Saturday projects with Daddy...painted a new toy box!

Still very STYLISH....

This cowgirl get up was not worn out in public, but it was after dance one evening.  She disappeared and came out with a belt, boots, hat and of course rope..

This Fall we have been blessed with TONS of Monarch Butterflies.

And sweet friends who raise chickens....YUM!

Once again I have been OVER volunteering for everything, hence the blog being neglected....yummy chocolate and peanut butter cake the teachers got Friday.

STILL Catching up.

I have been feeling old lately...mainly thanks to my back acting up several times throughout the summer.  What hurts the most is sitting...yet I cannot do a whole lot when I am in pain.  Wreath making is what I did for a bit to stay busy, yet not injure it further...

Best thing about Fall, FOOTBALL of course!  Wreck em Tech from our cowgirl!

Another one..

And another one...

Another thing about Fall is ASTHMA flare ups....this was on a supposed sick day..

Breathing treatments...

More football fun...

And even when she is under the weather she always manages to put her own style on things...she 'borrows' the few stylish accessories I have!

More random catching up.

The SECOND day of Second Grade was much more exciting for Brooke.  She knew what to expect, slept well the night before and she was ready to go back!

This silly pup has missed Brooke TERRIBLY though while she is at school.  I get back to the house and he is extra ornery, follows me every where and aggravates the other two dogs as much as they will allow!

This year she has been involved in the Girls in Action group at Church.  This was their back to school pool party....lots of fun and lots of good girls!

We have still been enjoying reaping the benefits of our little garden with meals like this one:

STILL LOVE pep rally Fridays!

We had to turn a certain girls room into a "bigger" girls room.  No more baby looking stuff hanging around....bittersweet for this Momma for sure!

On RARE occasion we get to go enjoy some adult conversation.

Weekend lunch dates with hubby look like this...

We were all glad to have my folks for a visit, but Max LOVED them being here while Brooke was in school.

First Day of SECOND Grade!

Our BIG Second Grader!  She was so nervous and excited!

So far Second Grade has been a great year~!  As always the first few weeks take a little getting used to for all of us!

How we spent the rest of the summer, Part 2.

Before the mosquito's came out, but only when it was below 100.....yep, she's already outgrown it...will probably be a bigger bike on her Christmas Wish List!

She made her own head band, then we all jumped when she went out in the heat and the balloons popped instantly.

She enjoyed morning work out's with me.

We celebrated LOTS of birthdays of friends.

LIKE THIS!! Sliding down a huge water slide at one of the party's.

We 'helped' change water in our pj's before bed.

We broke in new dance shoes...

Back to school shopped and realized we might like the same colors...

More lazy morning cartoon watching.

Practiced braiding Momma's hair..

Enjoyed a concert in downtown Lubbock.

Back to school hair trim and begged the sweet hair stylist to spend an extra 45 minutes to straighten all of that beautiful hair because Momma refuses to.

How we spent the rest of the summer, Part 1.

So, let's pretend I haven't completely fallen two months behind on this blog okay?!  There will be a LOT of pictures, but if you are on Facebook you have probably seen most of them!

Random, end of summer pictures....and of course MOST of them are all Brooke!

We did TONS of arts and crafts throughout the summer vacation.  This picture, her Granddad had sent her an envelope full of confetti, so she got out a glue stick and turned it into a sun picture, with bright red lipstick on and stylin' like always!

She dressed up every single day....

Her Princess Sophia necklace was added to every outfit for a while....and Max is still the MOST playful pup in the house...

We swam every day we could....and played with water guns....

Brooke and I sat in the cool pool, watching Steven make this beautiful walkway through our backyard.  When Brooke got out, she would go squirt him with a water gun to help keep him cool in the hundred + degrees.

How she helped....

We enjoyed our lazy mornings!

And, when it was too windy to swim we found air conditioning to enjoy.  This was at our favorite Lubbock Library.

Swam some more.

Momma, got her first new phone in 3+ years, so we have had fun with the new camera play options.

Ate a bit of ice cream...

LOUNGED and lazed a lot.

Had lunch and movie dates with friends...

And dressed up some more!
