A few things for the scrapbook.

Brooke's Letter to Santa, 2010. Since the teacher helped her write this letter she has also started asking for a Princess Bicycle, but we have connections so we know she is getting one anyway. Is it just my imagination or can you see a halo in this picture?!

And, this was sent home with her at Thanksgiving. A few of the things she is thankful for. Gotta love that! In case you can't read it: Nana & Paw, Mrs. Zant, Toys, Macy, Cooper, TV, Mrs. Bundy, Mommy, Daddy, Dolls, Gran and Grandad, and my house. Is that sweet or what?!

Dressing around an accessory...

Brooke is quite particular about what she wears. If you have read these blog posts before you already know that. The last two mornings however, she has picked one accessory and we have to figure out the entire outfit around the ONE accessory. She cracks me up already and is going to keep me on my toes. I think to myself constantly, if she is this picky at FOUR what is going to come in the future years?!

Yesterday's outfit was planned entirely around the belt. She found a belt that I got her....thinking it would be cute with jeans (which she will still not wear), so she tried to wear this belt with all sorts of outfits....here is the one we agreed on. She even clipped a flower that matched to a headband....creative already.

Another way I am learning my lesson. I have been making these little fabric flowers for her, they only take about 5 minutes, so anytime I find a remnant of fabric I get it and make another one. I made this leopard print flower and for some odd reason decided to sew it to this bright pink headband she already had.....mistake. She wanted to coordinate her entire outfit this morning around this bright headband. Why on earth didn't I leave it on a clip, or put the flower on a neutral headband?! To me, these two things don't match.....but hey....she was happy and looked adorable.

I am left wondering what odd accessory we are going to dress around next. I have hidden all of her wild knee socks......but she is a good digger....haha.

Is Christmas here YET?!

This is not the question I am asking, but the question we are being asked several times a day already. Brooke has been asking her Daddy if we could get out our Christmas decorations for weeks already, and our rule is always AFTER Thanksgiving. So, 7:30 every morning including Thanksgiving morning we were asked "can we put up our tree now?" After trying to salvage our 10 year old tree, we finally decided it bit the dust and couldn't be used another year....without falling sometime through the Christmas season. So, we went into town and came home with one that will hopefully last at least another 10 years.

My two favorite people. Thank you Steven for working hard to get the inside AND outside of our new house decorated for the season. I am pretty sure you know it's worth it every time Brooke sneaks another peek of the tree, or of the beautiful lights outside, sighs and says "Daddy, it's just BEEEEEAAAAUUUUTiful!"

Yes, pictures of Brooke.....just because I could not be more in love with a child. She is so fun. Funny. Opinionated. Sylish. Bull headed at times. Definitely persistent. Smart. Loving. Precious. I even love looking at the back of her head.....look at her beautiful curls. Definitely not store bought curls. She loves these little princess dolls and polly pocket dolls and changes them over and over AND over.

After she heard me snapping her picture.....yes, another outfit fully coordinated by Brooke herself. It was game day for Tech and her Daddy was wearing a Tech shirt too.....but she had to be girly. LOVE her wild style.

AND, when asked to smile for the camera this is the 'pose' I got....are we in trouble?! Yep, probably so.

Notice the above the knee socks....oh my, yes I am online right now looking for pantyhose type leggings to keep her Daddy from groaning at her grown up outfits....haha!

The two things in this world I am MOST thankful for....

The entire month of November it is very popular (especially on Facebook) to make sure to say every day something else you are thankful for. This is a very easy task when you live such a blessed life as we do. It has been hard for me however, to not repeat myself over and over which is why I decided to blog it and say my bit.

Every single day, numerous times a day I am thankful for these two people. I am thankful for a LOT in this world, but these two people make my world a better place, make me smile, and just make my heart happy.

I hope everyone has a great weekend, and try to remember all of the wonderful things we've been blessed with instead of looking at how hard your week has been!

Brooke's latest purple obsession.

I think it is safe to say I aided completely in this latest obsession. I love making things for this girl, so I made her the little satin flower for her hair the other day.....and I love that she loves it, but now we are dressing 100% AROUND the flower. This is the third day of putting the flower on first thing in the morning and having to wear something that doesn't totally clash with it. Yes, I have made other colors too now, but this one is the only one she wants to wear. She even has begged to sleep in it, but I do draw the line somewhere.....

Even when I beg her to wear denim, she wears it HER way.....as a skirt with sparkles of course! Notice the wild leggings....makes me think of the 80's personally, but hey on a four year old it's adorable....on the 50 something year old lady I saw in Target wearing them....not so cute!
