One of the many reasons I think we are in the clear....the DIVA showed back up at the house this morning. When posing for this picture (if you can't tell in an outfit covered in sequins for Pre-K), she wouldn't say 'cheese' or anything like that, no she was saying "Stylish" as she was posing. No, that did NOT come out of MY mouth....haha. She cracks me up! And apparently models pose in this weird legs apart, sideways pose....that was her interpretation anyway. She also told me when I asked this morning how she wanted her hair done "Momma, I want my hair curly" mission accomplished....all I have to do for that is comb it and attempt to defrizz it a bit. ;o)
She did end up recovering and being symptom free for long enough to go trick or treating this weekend, really for her first time EVER and loved every second of it. This sweet boy is Connor, one of her favorite classmates. They don't live very far away, so they very graciously let us walk with them all over our big City. I must add, I love every new thing I discover about our small home town. I LOVED the community's involvement for Halloween. Even most of the farmers handing out candy had some sort of decor on. My favorite was our dear neighbor who was wearing a devil's claw on his hat....for those of you who don't know farming....these things are an evil weed out in the field and can shut farm equipment down completely. There were fresh baked cookies being handed out from people we TRUST. It was just a great experience for us all.
The funniest thing about this picture of Brooke and Connor, they held hands the ENTIRE time we were trick or treating and I could tell it was driving Steven NUTS! He hated it! I had to remind him that they are FOUR and that it meant nothing to them yet.....haha.
She may shoot me for posting this, but this is Brooke, Connor, big sis Taylor and their awesome, way cool, dressed up Momma Amie. Love this family!
I SHOULD have taken a picture of the look on Steven's face the entire time....haha. I thought it was cute....and maybe some day he will too!
I got hit by some weird bug as well this weekend.....so hopefully we are ALL well and done with our sickness for the season?!
Side note, Happy Birthday to my ornery brother Lynn! Love you bro!
