I know these are a day or so late, but I HAD to share how I attempted to keep a girl busy in between homework and trick or treating time.
Her Daddy has been stripping cotton, so we hadn't even carved a pumpkin yet. I realized NEVER in my life had I actually carved a pumpkin. My Dad used to do the hard work for me, and now I let Steven do it because he is SO creative....well, I HAD to this year. Don't expect much....just know that I let a sweet girl draw the face on it that she wanted me to carve....so she loved it!
The looks she made were priceless....yes, I made her do the work in one of Daddy's beat up t-shirts.
And the big mouthed result!
I cannot find my PAINTS anywhere, so she decorated little pumpkins with marker....
When I finally told her she could watch cartoons she disappeared....when I found her she was doing what seems to be her favorite thing these days.....READING! I am and will always be proud of this girl no matter how she's doing, but she is already reading on a 4th grade level in 1st grade! Love that she is ENJOYING it.....
