Brooke loves to write while I am on the computer. Can you guess what her favorite letter is?
Lots going on around this joint....but to tell you everything and actually make it sound interesting is more than my beat up brain can handle.
Cotton stripping is fully underway, which means no Steven (technically he works from 7am til around midnight each day)....which makes us sad, but at the same time we know an end is in sight and he will have a few months off when they finish.
I've been beating myself up. Literally. Why on earth I continue to eat sugar when I know how it makes me feel and act.....well, I have yet to figure out! I've been munching daily on the tidy tidbits of chocolate that normal people (get that, I am calling YOU normal) eat and never think twice about and after about 3 days (okay every day since Halloween) of 'bite size' chocolate tid bits well I have been jittery, klutzy, and not all that energetic. How my week started....Sunday, I was rough housing with the dog, Cooper when he managed to head butt me so hard I now have a bruise/knot above my left eye brow. Monday, I was stepping over the one baby gate we keep up (to keep Brooke out of the computer room) and managed to trip, bang up both of my knees and shins, all while nearly landing on my daughter....I managed to knock her into the wall, bruising her elbow...and since I was trying so hard NOT to land on her I managed another knot on my head. This one is bigger and on the right side. So, today.....I basically haven't done ANYTHING. No sugar for me today and I've been jittery all day anyway....it will take a couple of days before I am back to as normal as I can be! Sheesh.....no sugar for me!
In Brooke's world....well, she's awesome. She knows all of her letters, sings her Alphabet perfectly, can write at least 8 different uppercase letters without me reminding her how first, gets commended for sharing and helping classmates at school....and tons of other things that just make me swell up with pride! Granted, we still argue about wearing those little black shoes every single day (including DURING nap time), or wearing Hello Kitty undies instead of Ariel.....but hey, those are things that just make me giggle. Her vocabulary still amazes me. The things she picks up for the most part are wonderful and delightful....although there are a FEW things I wish she never picked up, but I know more will come. Her newest favorite word.....rutabega. Yes, Rutabega. She has a fruit set that she got for Christmas last year, and there is one piece that I have never decided if it's a plum or a nectarine, well now it's a rutabega and she won't even argue about it either. I could go on and on about my angel.....but it's almost PJ time and it's more of a chase with Daddy out with a stripper (HA), so I better get started!
