Brooke is old enough now that she was worried about Santa finding her since she wasn't in her own bed on Christmas Eve.....her elf on the shelf, Sparkle wrote her a note to assure her he would tell Santa wherever we went. After NO sleep (I am speaking literally here, NO sleep) Christmas Eve, we finally gave in and let her see if Santa found her.....
Her two requests were sweetly met.....a pink guitar and the Holiday Barbie!
After morning worship services the bulk of this branch of the family came over for lunch and presents, as well as visiting. My mother took this picture because of two things.....one, our female dog Macy does NOT take up with men....period. It took her months to jump in Steven's lap when I was around....and two, was the man she took up with used to never tolerate dogs....Cooper is on the left of my sweet Grandad and Macy is in his lap content at the petting she is receiving.
Side note, as always Steven is fixing something....hehe.
I think Brooke's favorite part of the trip was easily time with cousins.....look at this handsome young man....he makes me feel old! My nephew Cohen and Brooke....just watching his every move.
My Dad and his two eldest grandkids, McKenzie and Cohen.....I took it because it looks as though this will be the last year he is taller than McKenzie!
My sweet grandparents with my daughter. I am learning all too fast these days that pictures mean A LOT.....as do grandparents, so I try to combine the two as often as I can.
Brooke was happiest when by McKenzie......
She did stop to breathe and cuddle every once in a while....
She had to show off another present.....CINDERELLA!!
Sadly, I didn't even take a picture of the other family we got to see and spend time with. I don't want it to seem less important....maybe I was less rested?! We had tons of fun visiting with every one.
