Reward Party.

The elementary school has what they call AR parties at the end of every six weeks. They are Accelerated Reading parties for the older kids who read the books they were supposed to, but for Pre-K they are treated as a reward for good behavior. This AR party they got to go bowling, followed by lunch at the park and LOTS of playtime there.

Waiting on the bowling to start, smiling at the camera are Paige, Brooke and Yasmine.

They got to bowl on lanes with bumpers, so no gutter balls. And they used a ramp to help them with the heavy balls. She loved it!

And at the park later in the day I saw a little of myself in her. Pretty much the entire elementary school was at this park (Two buses full of kids) and Brooke played by herself A LOT. I remember my mom asking me if I wanted to invite someone over and saying "No, I am fine" and continuing to play by myself....

When she was playing with someone is was pretty much only her buddy Connor. This is the boy she tells me "I like him Momma, even though he IS a boy."

They did more, but any time they needed to cool off I found them sitting or laying together in the shade just talking. Too cute to see her and her friend.

She said she was sleepy and laid her head on Connor's leg....and he kept talking to her while be patted her on the head. Are they cute or what?
