Small town memories.

I know at times it seems like I take pictures of EVERYTHING, but unfortunately I don't. I wanted to share a couple of recent memory making events that I am sad I didn't have my camera for, BUT I enjoyed them regardless.

I don't even know how much of a back story to give. Basically Steven and Uncle Bro are always doing something at the farm, they always have projects if farming itself isn't booming that particular week. This weekend's project involves a big ditcher....which they found out you don't have to ride on, if you get a big enough rock and seat belt it in. First laugh. Brooke and I drove out to see what the latest machine is doing and while the rock was keeping it manned we rode around watching them change row water, etc.....the cutest things happen when you have two grown men, a little girl and mud....I told Brooke I didn't care if she played in the mud...I clean it out of Steven's clothes weekly, so what is one more?! I also knew she wouldn't get near as dirty as Steven manages to. I encouraged her to take off her flip flops and walk in the mud....giggle after giggle about the cold mud between her toes, etc....the funniest party to me was the two grown men washing it off of her without getting her any more wet than necessary. Each one had a muddy foot stuck in the COLD well water and were scrubbing mud from in between her toes....then stood her on her head basically to let her wash her muddy hands too. It may not seem like much as you read this, just know it makes me love this small town/country life out here and love my husband and Uncle Bro that much more. They do so much for us.....including just let us goof off and have fun with them!

Silly little minor things make me love life out in our small community even more than I did before (which I didn't know was possible). Things like Brooke asking if we can walk our dogs.....sadly, something we don't do very often because they are very active as it is. We walked to her school playground and wah lah, she manages to make six new friends while we are there. Cooper and Macy won't gripe about it either because there were six additional kids loving on them! I never panic about her walking our dogs out here like I would have in the city. There was one vehicle that passed the entire time and people out here are so considerate that they stopped to say hi instead of flying by at a dangerous speed. I feel like me deeming myself a 'city girl' all these years was me miscategorizing myself.

Brooke is now asking if we can go check out the ditcher again....and since the farm is a mere few minutes away I am sure we will!

Lovin' Life!
