If you love learning how to do things yourself, whether it be crafts, cooking, decor....and yes, even hair do's Pinterest has it all and it is fascinating to someone like me! This little addicting website is something I browse after Brooke is in bed at night, especially if Steven is still out working on the farm. I have started pinning all sorts of hair-do's to my board and you will NEVER (haha) guess who my guinea pig is!
Last night Brooke accidentally cut some of her hair that hangs down in her face after a long hard day of school....so, to help remedy that I decided to try one of those hair-do's this morning.
Brooke loved it....although her ornery picture doesn't show it. I don't know where this has come from, but she likes to growl all of a sudden....oh joy....
If she's looking off she won't make an ornery face....
An odd update: First grade seems to be kicking MY hiney. Brooke's too of course. The teachers mean business once they hit First grade, at least they do in our school. Last night was the end of day 3 of this new school year and we got her homework done in the record time of just under three hours.....it's going to take some adjusting that is for sure! She has had 6 to 7 pages of homework every night, with reading AND math flash cards, as well as the normal required reading time of 10 minutes a night.....Part of it though is she has yet to finish all of her class work DURING class, so that adds 2 pages to the homework, so I have REALLY been encouraging her to get her work done IN class so she can chill in the evenings!! She has already been tested on her reading abilities and she is just like her parents in her love of reading....she aced that part, now we are trying to build a love for math.....but it's taking some time. She will have two tests this Friday already, one on the reading flash cards sent home and one on the math flash cards. Once she can get 100% correct on both sets of flash cards in a minute's time she can move on to a new set of flash cards!
