First off, I have to say this entire idea came about because I was being a smart alleck. To those of you who know me so well I am sure you just said "No, when are YOU ever a smart alleck" right?! ;O)
I will make the longer story a little shorter by saying we had a big magnolia bush here (yes, I know it was a tree, but it wasn't big enough to shade anything) that Steven cut down. In teasing him about leaving a huge stump there that stands 3 ft, I asked him "Why'd you leave the stump so tall? Are you going to carve us one of those grizzly bears out of it or something?" Well, he didn't carve a grizzly bear......but he DID prove that I have yet to find ANYTHING that this man cannot do.....add 'carving our last name into a living tree stump with a chainsaw' to his long list of things he's accomplished and has proven to be really good at!
When I finally realized what he was doing I had to get pictures of course!
This maybe took him 20 minutes.....no one else will have one just like it, that's for sure! I have heard mention of staining it to make it easier to read.....so we will see! How do you like our tree stump now?!
And, to not get in trouble with the grandparents I am including two pictures of our ''growing like a weed" girl.
She KNOWS her Daddy rocks!
