Parade Fun.

The parade was Friday.  And the kids LOVE it, although you know who does most of the work for the little kids.  This year it was Steven who did most of the background work for the second grade float.  He made and reinforced goal posts, make a totally rocking football, and was the ring leader for putting it all together.  We had TONS of parents come help put it all together in our driveway, make signs, tape, cut, etc....the dads even STOLE the bench from our own football team to make the float look that much better!

The hard work out in the hot wind yesterday was totally worth it when you see the kids on it, having a blast and so proud of their float!

Our crazy cheerleader....

We have some pretty awesome neighbors....this is our neighbor Erin and the REAL Leopard they plan to donate to the school...

A LONG line of John Deere tractors to start off the parade. No red tractors were in working order to attend.

Another rocking neighbor....

I took pictures of all the floats, but I am only sharing OUR float.  They got 2nd Place!

The story behind this picture is that the sweet old man that drove the 2nd tractor passed away only a few months ago.  He was one of the backbones of this community and was always involved in EVERYTHING.  His grandson pulled his tractor with the seat empty to start our parade.  What a sweet, heart breaking tribute to an amazing man, Dale Zant.
