Yep, she's still going in circles....while making as much noise as she possibly can! I have discovered a new use for Nascar certified ear plugs! Actually, now that I am 'caught up' I have found my patience again and it is once again a sweet, comical sound to my ears. Whew, thank you nerves!
I know Brooke is eating in this picture, I just had to show how Steven normally manages to do her hair.....which is why the adorable pig tails a couple of weeks back was so impressive to me! I call this her sumo wrestler look, or maybe 80's rockstar?!
To share a bittersweet moment...Brooke is now mostly in 4T clothes! Yes, I know....she's not even 3 yet. It is always hard for me to box up or get rid of things she has outgrown already, but this time I seriously dreaded going to the store to start working on a 4T wardrobe for this spring. You see, 4T clothing is very limited in the 'baby' section of stores, it is usually in with 'girls' stuff (yep, lumped in there with 4 - 16).....which to my emotional, mommy brain meant she was growing up that much more quickly. BUT, I have to tell you....the emotions got put in a completely different place in my brain when I saw the variety offered in the GIRLS section!! WOO HOO! I have always heard girls clothes are so much more fun to shop for....well, I have always agreed but was pleased to discover that big girls are just that much more fun!
Brooke picked out her first set of 'big girl panties' while we were shopping yesterday and it was so much more of a big deal than I had thought! Brooke doesn't want to LET GO of them long enough for me to wash them. She has never done it before, but she sat there whimpering quietly in the shopping cart while the lady scanned them....luckily she was a mom, who very quickly saw the emotion and handed them right back!
