I have been busy making hair bows again, and of course for every bow I make for someone else's child I HAVE to make a new one for Brooke.....here she is showing off one of her new ones from last week. She no longer shies away from the camera very often. Now, when she sees the camera she automatically says "cheeeeeese" without even stopping what she's doing. However, she does not always do what I want her to do in a picture....go figure!
I told Brooke I wanted to take her picture and her comment was, "take one of my booty Momma" as she was striking this pose.....then she ran over to me and wanted to see the picture....she cracks me up.
We had a great, busy, fun filled weekend. Thanks to Steven's folks, Steven and I were able to go out for some early anniversary celebrating. We always enjoy getting to go out to dinner with friends and just chit chatting without toddler interruptions....but it does make us extra grateful for our life the way it is now as well. Steven woke up motivated.....he painted the living room and our bathroom.....two things we have talked about doing for MONTHS.....so, I am definitely a happy camper! It feels like a new house!
For those of you who want a potty training update.....well, I am still at it. Brooke apparently isn't going to be one of those easy to potty train kiddoes that I hear so much about. I was kind of down in the dumps about it, feeling like it was something I was doing wrong....then I went to our weekly music class and talked to all of the other mommies in the room....THANK YOU other Mommies for making me realize to relax but remain consistent. She will get it I know.... They all told me their kids are not being easy either, and the ones that are potty trained it took months to do so all the way.....so, I will keep being a potty training drill sargeant! Wish me luck!

Took me 5 full months to get it done. Start to finish. During March, I finally had a mom tell me to sit them on the potty every 15 minutes. This is where you get potty trained. I did that for about two weeks and they got it. Then i moved it back once a hour. In May, I finally felt comfortable letting them decide when to go. Now I wish someone would explain to me why kids wait to pee and poo when you sit down to eat a meal. LOL! Especially when you go out to eat. Are bathrooms that fascinating?
