If you were expecting to see a picture of my sweet Brooke here, you are mistaken. The 'child' that seems to be most like me these days is our four legged child, Cooper. I am a klutz, and apparently I've passed that trait on to Cooper. We have had other dogs, who have never had any injuries or weird incidents in their lifetime. Cooper, however has NOT had that luxury. This poor pooch has had a gash in his arm that required stiches because of running the fence with the neighbor's dogs and his leg getting caught on a nail sticking out of the fence. He's broken his tail.....twice! Yes, you read right. He has managed to jump up to attempt to catch a squirrel and when he landed he basically stumped his tail on a pile of bricks....poor thing hobbled for weeks with that one because they couldn't exactly put a cast on his entire rear end! This time, he has somehow managed to stump one of his toes so badly that he's broken his toe nail and made the entire toe swell up. He is currently hobbling around like I have done so many times before. Poor puppy, apparently he and I are cut from the same cloth! The injury in this picture isn't all that noticeable, but on his right front paw there is one toe that is twice the size of all the others and a crooked black toe nail. Poor thing!
Brooke seems to have gotten at least a little bit of coordination from her Daddy! Our little senorita has suddenly developed a love for wearing flowers in her hair. She puts them in herself, so you never know what you're going to see.
Have you figured out yet that she LOVES to dress up these days?!
Today for some reason I was feeling really down in the dumps about my baby girl growing up way too fast. I finally realized ONE of the reasons I was noticing it more today than other days. If you check out this outfit.....a little over a month ago it fit her perfectly and although it is hard to tell in this picture the pants are now 2 inches too short and the sleeves look more like 3/4 sleeves instead of the long sleeves they are supposed to be! One of my awesome mommy friends knew I needed a laugh about it so she told me to just hike the pants up another inch or so and they'd be capri's!
