I have no problem whatsoever saying no to a certain little three year old, but when it comes to people asking me to do something that I know I can do, then I have a problem with it. I tend to overcommit my time as if it were worth nothing, then will be running around like a chicken with it's head cut off to try to do it all.
I'll get off that tangent and tell you all I just turned down what I feel like would have been my DREAM job exactly 3 years, 8 months, and 4 days ago. That my friends, is when my baby girl was born. I have nothing against working, nor against anyone else working. I just have to say we are doing great the way things are, making ends meet all while being HAPPY and while extra money would be nice.....we can make extra money when she is in Kindergarten, which believe it or not, is only a little over a year away!! YIKES! Yes, I am already rambling.
While in my heart I feel I am 100% where I need to be right now, and know I will never regret it....it still was NOT easy to tell a great friend no.
I have some amazing family and friends. A lot of mother's cannot seem to support other mother's, but I must say I know a lot of awesome mom's who have nothing but encouraging words to say. Thank you friends and family for helping me through anything and everything. It is always good to hear from someone who is going through, or has already been through all of the emotions I am going through.
Next post might have to be about how my husband is just the most amazing, awesome, selfless man I've ever met..... ;o)

sweet vicki, I am so happy that you stayed true to yourself and family. I know it can be so difficult to say no to great opportunities, but sometimes the timing is just a little off. congrats on the year and a half you have before she gets into kindergarten- that is a gift!
