This blog post is a compilation of Brooke and her recent craft projects. I am entering them in my online scrap book, so I won't feel guilty when I get rid of them as she naps. They are too cute, and show her growth and imagination. Both of which I am proud. BUT, I am trying to eliminate the urge to become a pack rat by saving them all and will document them instead.
This last week at school was all about Teeth. Learning to clean them, what is best for them, etc. Here is her 'teeth' from school. All Steven could say after he told her good job of course was 'and we hope her teeth never look like this' HA!
A drawing from school. Self portrait maybe?! She is showing more and more imagination with her day to day art and loves to draw our entire family.
Another tooth project very appropriately made from cake icing and marshmallows. There were 26 teeth before she sampled a few of them on the way home from school.
Brooke and I try to do craft projects at home every week. Something different, but I never manage to capture them on camera. The last few weeks I have caught myself in a lull of sorts and we haven't done any crafts. I didn't think she noticed or missed them all that much until the other night she walked up to her Daddy with those sweet eyelashes batting and asked "Daddy, will you please do a craft with me?" Yep, made me feel about an inch tall! Anyway, to toot Steven's horn he made a craft up and got after it immediately. They made butterflies out of cooked spaghetti noodles. Yes, he is creative too!
Decorating their butterflies.
The finished crunchy project the next morning. Yes, I think I will keep Daddy around....he's pretty awesome.
For President's Day at school, my little Abe Lincoln.
And for George Washington's birthday, they learned the lesson of why not to tell a lie and what the truth is....and made cute little cherry trees.
And of course her very creative Nana brought some felt creatures for them to glue together. All so much fun for a growing, changing, always learning little girl.
