It's been consistenly cold outside the last week or so, which means lots of time spent indoors. How to keep an active, easily excitable young girl busy tends to keep me busy anytime she's awake. Friday night, we decided to have a family movie night in an attempt at figuring out a way for Steven and myself to be able to stretch out and relax for an hour or so, while keeping Brooke entertained. I think it worked, don't you?
I know Brooke didn't color this paper from school very much, but the reason I took her picture with it is because her teacher bragged on her for being the only one in class who could write her own name on her paper. So, of course it's on the refrigerator to show her how proud we are of her! For those of you who will get Valentine's from Brooke, it will be her own hand writing on them this year! Another side note. Coloring in general seems to bore Brooke these days. If she cannot be writing or practicing those letters she doesn't want a crayon at all.
Momma and Daddy got their Christmas, Anniversary, Valentine's present in the mail this week. And, as always, Daddy was sweet enough to save one of the boxes. Hours of indoor entertainment and giggles for sure! Yesterday she had a lemonade/hot chocolate stand. Today she has made it 'her house' decked out with pillows, curtains and baby dolls.
This picture is to show Nana that she loves the sparkly dress she made her for Christmas. She is currently napping in it as I type this.
This picture was taken to show two things......one that she is actually wearing jeans (due to a bribe by me and a promise that she could wear something else after dance class), and two to show the "B" I put on the front of her leotard with Nana's craft gun. The B doesn't show up all that well, but I had to share it anyway!
If you look really hard you can see the B on her chest in this picture. She was stretching before we left to go to dance class. Her idea of course.
The title of the blog is silly I know. You all know she is growing. But, for my scrap book update of her size. She is almost 4, weighs a pound less than she did at her 3 year check up (40 pounds even), has grown 3 inches since her 3 year check up.....and just keeps going.
