My Great Grandmother used to tell me that just because you grow up doesn't mean you have to grow old.....I love that. There is a HUGE difference between being mature and responsible, yet still enjoying life and having fun. Brooke is a great reminder of those things daily. Since she is an only child who else does she have to ask to play with her?! It's either myself, Steven, or whatever grandparent is closest. I don't mind one bit.
While in Albuquerque, we went to the park several times. It was beautiful outside, and their version of windy....well, we consider a light breeze in West Texas.

Yep, that is my lower half coming down the slide. Brooke was acting too scared to do it, so of course I had to show her it was fun....that's my story and I am sticking to it.
This playground had lots of things none of ours do around here.....
Including LOTS of super high things connected to other super high things....she might have made me a little nervous at times....

Lots of big swings, but due to falling OFF a swing once she still prefers me to cram her legs in these little baby swings.
So, I had to show her how ridiculous it looked for big kids to swing on the baby swings.....I didn't change her mind at all. She just rolled her eyes at me and giggled as she said "Aw Mom you look reeeeeediculous!"
My Dad is still a big kid in old man's clothing (hehehe), I wanted to try this thing....and he was the only one brave enough and STRONG enough to get ME going on it.....
My sweet parents. We SO enjoyed our week with you. I miss you already, even though I am GLAD to be home!
