ZOO!

Being away from home makes me that much more grateful for when I am home. Brooke and I rode to Albuquerque with my parents last Saturday and spent the entire week of Brooke's Spring Break there with them. We enjoy our time together, relax, play, visit and now with my grandparents in Albuquerque too we got to see even more family than normal. We missed having Steven with us, but made the most of our time together.

Day one after my brother and his family headed back to the real world, aka work.....we took Brooke to the zoo again. She loved it last time and still talked about it even though it was two years ago. This time it was a really cool morning, and when we made it to the first exhibit she was already asking me to carry her....so, sweet Grandad went and rented a wagon....what a BACK saver!!

My favorite exhibit, the polar bears, was closed for construction.....so this was MY next personal favorite. They are so funny to watch.

After about three hours of roaming the zoo exhibits, we sat to rest for a while.

And, one of the last exhibits we went to before the grandparents and the four year old all gave out. We could have spent another two hours there to see the rest. Lovin' the hippos in the background!
