Every single night Brooke manages to find some way to stall actually going to sleep. Another hug, another kiss, FRESH water, etc.....well, last night she hollared at me to come there please and when I did she said "I think Daddy needs to come pull my tooth" which I didn't believe because anytime her Daddy gets anywhere near that tooth she clamped her mouth shut and changed her mind.
Whether Daddy would admit it or not I think he was a little bummed that he didn't have anything to do with the first tooth when it came out (Brooke managed it all on her own by biting on a towel), so he jumped up and in came the dental floss.....when that didn't work he asked if he could go get the tiny pliers that his folks pulled his teeth with (until last night Brooke has acted scared to death of these tiny pliers), but she shook her head yes and waited....a quick POP sound later and the sucker was gone! No tears, she jumped, blinked her eyes and said "Ouch" then when I asked her if it hurt she said "No, I just said that."

And, this morning she was up early to see what the Tooth Fairy left her.....so we had time to take more pictures! The tooth fairy left her $20 the first time (Mainly because the tooth fairy was a little unprepared and that was all HE had because I never have cash), but this time the tooth fairy left another $20 for several reasons.....the first reason is that she spent her first $20 from the tooth fairy on Christmas presents for her two grandmother's.....something really sweet and rare for any kid, especially a five year old. And, although the tooth fairy wouldn't admit it.....I kind of think he did it because HE wanted to and didn't care what anyone else might think, it's his kid! ;o) HA!
Time does fly for sure.....I am still wishing occasionally for a slow down button! She is growing into a beautiful young lady.....sob!
