Yep, my Dad has been shopping at the dollar store again! Steven and I jokingly roll our eyes at the 'pimp gear' my Dad sends Brooke, but we do it knowing that she LOVES it! Now she gets to choose between a purple or green 'cowboy hat' as she calls them. She loves dressing up and this just adds to her wild outfits and imagination even more!
This weekend Nana and Paw watched Brooke for us so we could have a wonderful date night before Valentine's Day, and I have decided that all grandparents are suckers (in a good way of course).....but Paw can be suckered into nearly anything with a sweetheart with big blue eyes politely begging him, "pwease Paw!" I think this picture helps my argument. ;o) Paw, you look great in purple!

We will hopefully get to see my parents tomorrow for a couple of days, so I am sure I will have more grandparent pictures to share!
Brooke's currently doing REALLY well in potty training....and she's too smart for MY own good. She knows when I all of a sudden get busy with something that if she says she needs to go I drop everything......so, I will have to decipher when she's serious or continue going every 5 minutes of the day! ;o)
Her newest phase is FEAR! I have read that lots of kids go through this phase, where all of a sudden things scare them.....like being afraid of the dark. Well, in the last couple of weeks she is suddenly scared of the dark, shadows, the heater, the washing machine, the smoke detector, the surround sound speakers....just to name a few! The last two mornings she has started screaming in fear of her stuffed donkey from Shrek. A toy that she's had since her 1st birthday....all of a sudden he's scary to her....?! Just another fun reason to cuddle!
