Since I have learned a LOT in the past week or so, there are lots of pictures too!
I seem to keep re-learning that kids will always manage to wake up early on the weekends instead of sleeping until their normal time, which is usually until after 8am. Brooke woke up both mornings this weekend before 7 for some reason.....ugh. This picture is when she woke up at 6:30 Saturday morning. I decided to let Daddy sleep, so I was trying to keep her quiet.....a feat in and of itself. She woke her Daddy up with goggles and boots.....what a character.
Goggles....or in her latest description, her wobble goggles. You'd have to watch Imagination Movers on the Disney Channel to know what on earth that means.
I've learned she LOVES to climb on grandparents. Maybe it's because they all let out a distinct groan as her knee digs in to their tummy....?! Brooke using Paw as a jungle gym.
I have finally learned that Brooke is very much at the 'helpful' stage. She will do anything she can to help me do any chores around the house. She loves it. I finally realized it doesn't matter if I have to fold the same pile of clothes 3 times, it is still good for her to learn to help. I am still learning how to let her help in the kitchen, so when I run out of ideas she gets to play with her dishes while I play with mine.
Although we all love the rain and what it does for the farmers around here, I've learned it too must come to an end. The only thing I do not like about rain these days.....every time it stops, poor Brooke has an allergy attack the next day. What on earth does every rain shower put in the air that she is allergic too?!
I've re-learned that a little girl's love for her Daddy and anything he does is truly unmeasurable....every night he reads her bed time stories while feeding her a p,b&j sandwich.....who looks to be enjoying it more?!
This picture is of Brooke eating a fresh 'mato off her plant. They rarely make it in the house or to the dinner table. She waits so patiently until they are ripe on the vine, asks first, then rips it off the plant and devours it immediately. What I've learned in the last month....Cooper too loves tomatoes.
I re-learned if you know sugar bothers you and makes you feel bad, do NOT eat it in mass quantities unless you are fully prepared to wake up feeling like a steamroller smooshed your brains.
If I ever hear a stay at home mom saying they don't learn much....I am going to laugh and tell them they must be sleeping on the job!! Have a great week everyone and know life's lessons are all around us, waiting to be learned!
