A few thoughts on this whole topic. First off, I think there is a huge difference between being healthy and being skinny. I know a hand full of skinny people who are more unhealthy than some so called bigger people....I don't think someone's size should ever be an issue. A couple of years before Brooke was born I had already noticed that I could no longer eat like I did in high school without noticing huge differences both in weight and how I felt. I had decided at that point that if I were ever blessed enough to become a mother I would try my hardest to set the right example about how to live 'healthy' and that is what I have tried to do ever since. Yes, I think about what I eat, yes, I eat cheeseburgers and anything else I want, but in moderation. As a society we always read about the latest diet. I think they will help you LOSE weight, yes but not help you keep it off. Which is why Steven and I (maybe not always willingly on his part) have adapted a generally healthy diet. Brooke LOVES fruits and veggies and prefers yogurt over ice cream. Not because we force it on her, but because we give her the choice.
I think this post has ended up sounding more like a rant than I wanted it to. I just want people to realize that in order to see a difference in your own health you have to do something about it. The weight is not going to miraculously fall off. The nutritionists old saying is, 'if you eat more than you burn you gain weight' sounds like common sense right?! You have to watch your diet and add some exercise. If you want to know how I do what I do, ask.....please don't avoid me because I choose to enjoy being healthy.
Sorry about the rant.....enjoy a pic of my angel who doesn't care about people's size. I am going to go get on my elliptical now. ;o)

i couldn't agree w/this post any more! you are so right on. being healthy is a lifestyle, not a temporary diet. and i'm so sad to hear that someone made you feel badly for being healthy! keep on keeping on...you look awesome. love ya!
