No, the numbering of this phase is not exact.....but I know this is another one of many phases she will go through and they are all so unique, unexpected and quite comical to us too. The latest phase (although she is going through many) is that she does NOT want her hair put up at all. She finally gave in one afternoon to Nana's suggestion for little clips, and now unless I am willing to fight her on it (such as swimming pool time, out in the heat, etc) she has her hair down with a few clips in it to keep it out of her face. Where'd this one come from?! It happened overnight!
She loves to sit on her Daddy to make sure he isn't going anywhere. I started to 'bribe' her with dum dums when she'd poopy in the potty, but now she does it so well that I'm afraid she'd end up with a sugar high....so, yes I will be rethinking this one. For other mom's potty training, I STILL have to watch her like a hawk. When we're outside, she will rarely tell me when she needs to potty instead she will start doing the Michael Jackson/baseball pitcher crotch grab, so I know to run her in. And, she runs off to hide suddenly when she needs to poopy.....so, we have had NO accidents, but I have come to terms with the fact that she will do great....as long as I do. ;o) When we are out in public she still has no problems announcing that she needs to go, but hey I have finally stopped blushing and instead swell up with pride! We have ditched all pull ups (I sold them on Craigs List) so no turning back! I hung onto some swim diapers, but after her getting out of the pool yesterday to tell me she needed to potty I think I might ditch them too. Cannot hang onto them because I want to be lazy!!
More hair down pics....I have been having fun experimenting with it. And, Nana gave me some great ideas to play with too.
Since our big girl is potty trained, I had to take the door knob lock off the bathroom door......so, this is a new favorite play spot....I think it's because she knows it drives me nuts. HA!
