How to keep cool in 102 degrees.

Brooke and I are spending the day in this afternoon, enjoying the cloudy/rainy day. And, after the last couple of days I think we needed it to help us recharge our batteries (at least I did). Thanks to Nana and Paw, Steven and I got a much needed and enjoyed adult night out Friday. And yesterday we had a wedding to go to out in the hundred degree weather, so instead of taking Brooke with us we left her playing in her pool with Nana and Paw, which I assure you was MUCH cooler! Thank you again Nana and Paw for allowing us some together time. Not only do Steven and I need it as a couple, but I feel as though it helps me as a mom appreciate my ornery tooter even more when I get home!

Below are some pics I took before we left for the wedding. We opted for the froggie pool in the backyard instead of a crowded public pool, and you know what....she loved it of course!

Brooke acting SO mistreated because I made her wait until her sunscreen was dry before we went outside.....

When I said we could go, this was her yelling "Let's GO PAW!" Of course she wanted an audience!

Cooper liked the pool too, although he thought it was a huge water bowl for him to drink out of. Brooke kept yelling "stop drinking my pool Pooh!"

Cheese!

Ahhh, refreshing....

Is this the life or what?! Yes, Nana, myself, and even Nipper and Cooper dipped in it too. I think we will have to invest in a mister for us adults frying while watching her.

Nana 'assisting' Cooper in cooling off a bit while Brooke just giggled.

The froggie pool is all Brooke has asked about today, but we woke up to some very welcome rain and a cooler day, so no more pool today anyway!

I uploaded a very short video of Brooke "swimming" in her froggie pool. You don't have to turn off the music or anything, it's just Nana talking in the background about how she should sleep well that night....and yes, she did!
