Happy Father's Day to the very wonderful men in our life. We are very blessed to be surrounded by wonderful Father's; strong men in our lives to love us, guide us, show us how a man should treat a woman and how a father should treat a child. I could literally go on for hours about the wonderful Father's in my life, but instead will leave you with a few pictures of just three of them....three of the most important people in my life, and in Brooke's life.
Our one and only, Steven. He is pretty indescribable, but for those of you who don't know him I will try. He is strong, hard working, loving, ornery (you know it), supportive and all the things I think God intended for every man to be. I love this man, and could NOT have picked out a better Father for Brooke if I had sat down and written my wishes on paper. We love you Steven.
My Dad, aka Grandad. I am a Daddy's Girl and always have been, so of course I idolize this man and thank the Lord every day for the fact that I still have him in my life after a huge scare a few years back. He is the reason I have a wonderful husband, and even wonderful father in law. Because he showed me by example how I should be treated by any man, and taught me to be cantankerous enough to search until I found him. I love you Daddy.
My Father in law Danny (whom I call Dadd for my second dad), aka Paw. He is the reason I am now a Miller. No, I didn't marry Steven because of him, but I did marry Steven because of the man he showed him how to be. I love to give him all sorts of grief. He raised two boys, so I like to show him what he missed out on when it comes to ornery girls. And he has his hands full with Brooke too, who always makes sure to be blunt with Paw. I love you Dadd and count my lucky stars for finding your family.
I also have an ornery brother, Lynn who happens to be an amazing father. I love my brother SO much that if something happens to myself and Steven (which we hope doesn't happen of course) we have chosen my brother (and his wife of course) and his awesome fatherly skills to raise our own child. I don't know how else to say how strongly I feel about him as a father.
I have wonderful uncles, the best grandfather, crazy cousins and am blessed to have them all in my life.
TO all the men in my life. I love you!
