The best of both worlds.

It's nothing new to say I would not trade Brooke for anything in the world. I hope all parents feel that way about their child. I however, have just recently realized that I truly have the BEST of both worlds. I have a girl, who will let me dress her up, doll her up, play makeup, wear the girly creations I make, yet she is a tomboy who will truly do ANYTHING at least once. She is so easy going, and although she is at times really girly....those times seem to pass really quickly and she goes on to being 'normal' again. In regards to my last email about her always being bruised up and hurt. Well, that helped me realize WHY.....she is a girly tomboy! She loves to prance, dress up and wag her little booty when she walks on those freshly painted toes. But, she loves to play ball, be rough and tough, loves the farm, being outside, getting dirty, and just having fun. What more could any Momma ask for?!

I think one thing that really helped me realize all of this was how much fun Brooke and I had Saturday. We spent the afternoon riding in a tractor with Steven. I have always thought of myself as a girly tomboy. I have to have my makeup, hair and toenails done, yet I love doing outdoor things (not including keeping plants alive, although I am trying Nana). I watched Brooke with a look of total joy on her face the entire time we were in that tractor with her Daddy. To which I realized we are a PERFECT fit.

The pictures are just some funny ones to me. I got her dressed and bandaged yesterday and when we told her to go get some shoes on this is what we found. She still loves these ugg wannabe's.

Brooke's two favorite things to play with this last week have been a hand me down box of Matchbox cars (thank you Thomas) and her tool set. BUT, to throw in a girly side she has the cars in her My Little Pony ferris wheel.

This picture I had asked her if I could take a picture of her hurt knee. I am so glad all of the bruises and scrapes don't show up quite as bad in this lighting!!

My folks will be here some time tomorrow to spend a few days. We are very excited about Granny and Grandad visiting. She has been watching for Granny's Tahoe, but I keep telling her Granny traded it off for a smaller vehicle, to which her reply was, "Momma, I am watching for Granny's baby Tahoe instead."
