A few things I've learned over the last week.

I have learned the old saying, "if you don't like the weather in West Texas, wait a minute" is really pretty accurate. My version would say wait 8 hours instead of a minute, but this year we seem to be experiencing more ups and downs than I remember in a while. 80, 35, 55, 77, etc....wow. Today it is very warm outside, but Brooke won't even step foot outside since the wind nearly blew her over when we were checking the mail earlier.

This pic is of her catching snowflakes on her tongue Friday evening. We didn't get much, but she enjoyed what we DID get.

I have learned that toddler clothing is even more ridicuously sized than women's clothes! In Brooke's closet she is currently wearing anything from a 3T to a 5/6 in little girls sizes, and her shoes are from a size 8 to an 11 depending on the brand.

In this picture she is wearing a 4T shirt and 24 month capri's, yes you read right 24 month. Mismarked?! Possibly.

My mother in law let me in on a website www.kraftfoods.com that I love. And if you are like me when it comes to dinner planning....which means you don't, you stand hungry in the kitchen wondering what on earth you are about to cook for dinner, this website will be perfect for you too. You can punch in your ingredients and how long you have before you need to be eating and wah lah recipes appear! So far, all three of us have liked every single recipe I've used. Now granted, if you are in a hurry for dinner a LOT of the recipes will consist of some version of mac n cheese, but if you have at least 30 minutes there are SO many more to choose from. Check it out next time you need a dinner idea!

I have learned from wonderful friends that I am not the only Momma that worries about her child, and I have learned that will continue FOREVER.....apparently my Momma still worries about me, go figure?!

I have learned not to bother dusting your house until Springtime in Lubbock is over with. I dust, the wind blows....even I cannot tell I dusted, especially when I currently hear the doggie doors (yes, that is correct it is so windy that it is blowing a double doggie door) being blown open....ugh.

I have learned if you cannot afford Microderm Abrasion, just come to Lubbock and attempt to do your running around in this wind....you will be amazed at how your skin looks once you wash the gritty mess off your face. Beautiful! Just look at those pores now!

It may sound like I am complaining about the weather.....well, maybe just a little. Brooke and I have such cabin fever....and this year seems so much windier than normal. I remember last year being able to go to the park even in the wind, but this year I think Brooke and her wagon would end up in another county.

Another thing I have learned, just recently....is that it does no good to complain about the weather. Heehee.

I have learned I am still just a kid at heart. We are heading to Albuquerque later this week to meet up with my folks. While we are there we are going to take Brooke to her first zoo! I am SO excited!!
