Forecast.

I feel sorry for anyone heading to work this morning without watching the weather forecast first. Here in Lubbock we hit 80 degrees yesterday and this morning it is currently 25 and blowing snow! I'd like to say only in West Texas, but from looking at the weather the entire country is being hit with odd weather....global warming?! ;o) Brooke keeps begging me to open the front door so she can "see if there's enough snow to play wif yet."

We HAD plans to go to a neat little local plant nursery for some fun dirt activities, but I have been informed that the streets are slick already, and after I saw our neighbor getting slammed into the side of their car from the wind....well, I think hot chocolate sounds like a better idea!

Friday funny to leave you with...actually happened yesterday. Last night after dinner we all loaded up in Steven's truck to take an engine out to the farm (a whole nother long story, ha). Brooke took her trumpet with her and started blowing it. Steven very calmly said, "Brooke, what have I told you about blowing that in the car?" She looked at him with this ornery grin and blew it again. This frustrated Steven and he said "What did I just tell you?" when Brooke replied, "But, Daddy we not in the car we in the TRUCK!" Yes, I had to bury my head in order to keep her from seeing me cracking up. We most definitely need to choose our words more wisely these days!
