Brooke on the farm, before we started picking fresh veggies. You can see what was soon to be a wonderful rain shower behind her.
You have heard me say many times before how much Brooke and Steven enjoy being on the farm. Well, now to the benefits of farming! In the last couple of weeks we have had fresh yellow squash, zuchinni squash, butternut squash, black eyed peas, cream peas, green beans, corn, okra and even peaches, apricots, watermelons and canteloupe from other people sharing! Is that not wonderful?! I LOVE fresh fruit and veggies, and love even more seeing my daughter enjoy them!! And now Brooke asks me if we can go pick peas, or as I typed this she saw the picture of her on the farm and asked "Momma, go pick squash pwease!" She also calls zuchinni broccoli, which cracks me up, but hey.....how many two year olds will ask Momma for BROCCOLI (which she does love too by the way)?!
Brooke actually did help me pick peas this time around. Maybe it was because it was just the two of us out there, so she had no one else to run to?! She picked every yellow, dried up pea she could find......hey, at least she's trying!
Look at the wonderful fresh stuff behind her!
I am getting so excited about what is to come. Steven, Brooke and I are going on our FIRST family vacation just the three of us.....EVER! Our family's company has a town house in beautiful Durango, Colorado......so, we are driving there to relax, unwind and show our daughter the beauty of the mountains! I can hardly wait.....in fact, have wanted to start packing for days now just to make sure I am ready!
