I just wanted to share one of my favorite pictures of my "in-laws". That term does not describe how I personally feel about them because I feel as though the term in-laws is not always thought of as a good thing. This couple has completely, in every way taken me in to their family. When I married their baby boy, I honestly married into yet another wonderful family. Steven and I started dating when I was just a baby (hehe) and I got homesick for my folks, who live 8+ hours away (depending on who is driving), so they took me in and completely helped keep me from being so homesick. I now consider them friends instead of just in-laws.
Today is their wedding anniversary (I am fact checking, but I think it's their 43rd). Congrats to them! They are one of the many wonderful examples that Steven and I have to look at for guidance when our own marriage needs it. We love you Nana & Paw, and here is hoping you have many more wonderful years together! And you know I HAD to say this Paw, Nana, you've put up with him THAT long?!
Brooke, Cooper and I will be driving to Plainview later this morning to celebrate the day with them, and to also drop Cooper off. He is staying with Nana and Paw while the rest of us go to Colorado. We are leaving tomorrow!!
