Hiccups.

The hiccup, to most people is a funny, cute thing that just happens to them occasionally and nothing more. Well, to me.....the hiccups are something I get and keep for HOURS....to the point that they start hurting my chest. No, this whole entry is not going to be me complaining, but instead to tell you that I did nothing BUT complain about them before Brooke came along.

My best hiccup memory so far....I will never forget when I was pregnant with Brooke. The first time she started hiccuping in my tummy. It felt so funny, and she woke me up doing this every single morning about 4am the last two months I was pregnant.

Now to the reason I am even typing about hiccups. We let Brooke watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and My Friends Tigger and Pooh almost daily. Well, both of these cartoons have had episodes about hiccups lately and Brooke thinks it is HILARIOUS to hiccup now. She gets them regularly....and I say it's because she is growing like a weed, but last night at the dinner table she would not stop with the FAKE hiccups. Steven and I were having to 'help' her eat around these silly things, and the more irritated we got at them the funnier it was to her. We finally got the bright idea (I know, sad it took us that long) to ignore the hiccups and just eat our meal.....and it worked eventually. Ever since, anytime she feels ignored here she goes again with the fake hiccups.....sounds cute, and I will admit it is.....but her fake hiccups have lasted as long as THREE hours so far.....pretty persistent for a two year old don't you think?! The pictures will show her 'hiccuping' and yes, she politely covers her mouth with each and every hiccup!
