Mommy Moments.

I am all the time thanking the Good Lord for blessing our lives with Brooke. She is totally amazing (as I hope all parents say about their kids), loving, hilarious, and always seems to know just what to say.....and yes, she is only two, so we can only imagine what is in store in our future. The following are just a few of the sweet things she has said to me recently....yes, there are tons more but this is all I could think of at the moment.

On a Friday night not too long ago Nana and Paw came down to watch Brooke while Steven and I went out on the town for a date night. I didn't think I was dressed up or anything, but Brooke walked into the bathroom, patted me on the leg and said "Momma, you so pwetty you look like pincess." Well, of course that made me so proud to hear my angel say that about ME!

I always tell Brooke I am so proud of her when she shares, plays well with others, or just handles a situation unbelievably well. She now walks up to me quite often, grabs my cheeks in her little hands and says "Momma, I so pwoud of you." I only hope she can always feel that way!

One occasion that I remember saying this to her was when she had fallen and skinned her knee, I grabbed her while she was crying and said "Baby, I am so sorry." There have now been a number of times when she has grabbed me when I must appear down or something (?!) and hugs me so tightly and says "Oh Momma, I so sowwy."

The one that has cracked me up the most lately is yesterday.....we were driving around town, running errands and she asked me for something. As I handed it to her she very plainly said "Gracias Momma!" This cracks me up even more because Steven wants to make sure she knows the English language first, it has become such a joke to us that he super glued one of her bilingual toys to where it would only speak English!!! SO, to hear her say this cracked me up and of course I had to call and tell Steven!
