Start to a beautiful vacation.

After a lot of driving, we are safely tucked away in the beautiful mountains above Durango, Colorado. Brooke keeps looking up and saying "WOW, Mountains....see the trees Momma?" She is in complete awe of all of the new and unique things nature's beauty has to offer her in the mountains that we do not get to see in our lovely flat land in West Texas. Today we have had a very laid back day, Steven cooked us all a wonderful breakfast and we walked down a hill here at the town house to a park that had all sorts of things to offer our little Brooke....including the most exciting thing other than the slide.....PINECONES! You do not realize how little it will take to amaze a child!

Tomorrow we plan to go jeeping and take Brooke to even higher mountains, let her play in the river (which we know will be cold), and just soak in more of the new things around her.

Our view out our front door.

I took pictures of some beautiful flowers for Nana, and thought this was the best since my beautiful flower is in it too! She has been smelling every flower she sees, and since most make her sneeze she even pretends to sneeze after every flower.
