There is beauty all around us, sometimes certain beauty just takes a little more imagination to appreciate, like Lubbock. I love Lubbock, Texas and it's completely flat lands, beautiful sunsets, wonderful people and so on, and being raised in the mountains I can say I truly did not appreciate them as much as I do now being so far away from them. BUT, God's beauty is SO easy to find in the mountains.....every single direction you look has something unique to enjoy. I hope to remember that wonderful, clean air smell you get from the mountains every time you step outside. I have included some random pictures I hope you enjoy. You can see the background in every picture is sheer beauty.
Steven, Brooke and Grandad throwing more rocks in the river. I stayed back to enjoy what is around them.
The DSNGRR train in Silverton. Brooke still has not stopped talking about trains, and wants to go for another ride. We made sure to get her own train whistle though.....I am sure you will here stories later on of me taking it away! ;o)
Brooke enjoying the town house community's play ground.
More Miller waterfall pictures.
We take pictures like this for Nana.
Funny story behind this picture. Notice the big stick Brooke is carrying and that my Dad's head is not too far away?! Well, Steven didn't realize they were so close to one another and as he picked Brooke up to put her on his shoulders.....basically if my Dad hadn't been paying attention I think stitches would have been in his future. Kudos to my Dad's reaction time.....pretty fast for an old guy! ;oP
