This little girl is just as at home on the farm as her Daddy is. She has no problem whatsoever plowing through the garden and even has delegated 'farm shoes' just for getting extra dirty. The other day (in what felt like 100 degree weather), we decided the garden needed picking. Brooke, myself and Elise (in the background) picked black eyed peas, cream peas, squash of all kinds, a few green beans and one whopping tomato (which you can see is tiny in Brooke's hand).
I suppose I should be truthful now in telling you that Elise and I picked veggies while Brooke carried a sack around with 2 or 3 peas in it, played with dirt clods, found all sorts of sticks, tried to drive the golf cart by herself (lucky for us her legs are still just a little short for the gas pedal AND the steering wheel) and then hollered "I hot, go inside" which we took our cue from and all headed in to enjoy the A/C.
