Grandparents, Chuckwagon and a mini train ride.

We were blessed enough to get to spend two full days with my parents here in the beautiful mountains. And, of course Brooke loved having her Granny and Grandad (who she now for some reason calls Grangrat) here with her. You KNOW she got some extra spoiling! Here is a picture of the three of them at about 11,oo0 feet when we stopped to throw rocks yet again. The funny thing is I have pictures of Brooke throwing teeny tiny rocks, and Grandad and Steven throwing huge boulders big enough to splash us all with the cold mountain water......so, who had more fun throwing rocks, well the jury is still out.

Ever since I was around 4 years old my entire family has been coming to this wonderful Chuchwagon called the Bar D, so we naturally had to pass the tradition on down to Brooke. Before the food and entertainment started she played with rocks, posed on the surroundings with us, rode their little train several times and listened to them playing good ole music. After every single song she would scream "YEAH, good job!" and clapped her hands as hard as she could, which of course made the cowboys laugh and smile every single time. I think they appreciated their newest fan.

Another Miller Family Photo Op. Behind us is the beautiful little chapel at the Bar D Chuckwagon where they had a cowboy poet.

Steven and Brooke patiently waiting on the conductor for the Bar D train. This was just Brooke's size. She thoroughly enjoyed it, and each train ride was under 10 minutes, so it's perfect for kids.

The sweet old conductor gave Brooke the string to ring the bell every time she rode the train, and she took this responsibility VERY seriously!

I don't want to totally bombard you with pictures, but I am sure you now know how I LOVE taking pictures. There are so many wonderful memories to share. My parents left early this morning heading home, and we are lounging around the town house relaxing this morning after our late night at the Chuckwagon. Brooke thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment. She loves music anyway, but the old western music and all of the people to watch were very entertaining to her. Her normal bed time is around 9pm Texas time, and she was awake until nearly midnight Texas time because she enjoyed it that much. The most memorable part to Brooke was definitely the train, she woke up this morning still talking about it. The most memorable part for ME was Brooke watching the Cowboys walking by in all of their western garb saying "Momma, I LOVE Cowboys" and Steven saying "OH GREAT" behind me when he heard that!
