Happy Birthday to ME!

Today I hit the big 3-0!! For those of you who think this is a big year, it is just another wonderful day (that's my story and I am sticking to it)! I am not sad or depressed to be 30, but still happy to be getting older.....after all it DOES beat the alternative! Maybe, just maybe I would be depressed if I didn't have such a wonderful family around me to remind me how blessed I am every single day! Then again it IS that same loving family that is sending me all of the "over the hill" wise cracks. Gotta love em!

I was looking in the mirror, checking for wrinkles.....after all I realize I am no longer in my 20's and I have decided any wrinkle or blemish (did you like how I tried to make it sound singular instead of plural) I have on my face is from laughing instead of frowning, which tells me yet again how blessed I am! Here is to at least two more sets of 30 I hope!

I included a picture of me with my angel (I knew no one wanted to see just me, I can finally admit that....see, with age comes at least a little wisdom). She is truly a God send, and I can honestly say Steven and I have both smiled and laughed more since we have become parents than we ever imagined! Every single day with Brooke brings something new to smile about. She learns SO quickly and shocks us on a regular basis.

This morning's funniest happening in my opinion was after we finished watching Elmo's World on Sesame Street, she got so serious. She climbed up in my lap, grabbed my face in her little hands and said, "Momma, I NEED bicycle" got down and went on about her morning business. Since when does a two year old know she NEEDS something, let alone a toy she doesn't have?! How much do you want to bet she gets a tricycle soon?! ;o)

Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday dear MEEEE, happy birthday to me! Imagine me singing that like a total idiot with the help of an adorable two year old giggling and singing along and you've got it covered!

I almost forgot to tell you about the huge milestone Brooke achieved yesterday.....and yes, it is going in her baby book......I caught her picking her nose and we officially got our first BOOGER! Aren't you proud?!
