Well, as of today our baby girl is 2 years, 3 months, and 9 days old.....she is already over 37 inches tall....which means she towers over most her age already and weighs in at a full 33 pounds!! She is wearing 2T shorts/capris still because she is thin, but shirts she is wearing 3T unless I can find them extra long or they end up being belly shirts!
Earlier today I was rocking her for her nap (yes, we still rock her and no I don't care what anyone thinks about it ;o)), she grabbed my face and said "Momma, I love you sooooo much" then it's as if she fell right to sleep. Talk about bringing tears to my eyes.
I also have to tell my wonderful hubby thank you again for working so hard for me to be able to stay home with our angel. I know this entire posting is pretty sappy, but I LOVE it that my baby girl can wake up morning, noon and night and know that her mommy is here waiting on her. She just woke up from her daily nap, walked groggily into the living room rubbing her eyes, saw me sitting there smiling at her and ran to me with open arms. I am so blessed to be able to experience that and cannot imagine some day care worker getting to see that instead of me.
For those of you who cannot wait for me to admit my dumbest comment as a parent.....well, it makes me laugh now for sure. Last night, after dinner I told her we would go outside to play since it was cooling off a little bit. When we got outside I told her we are NOT going to play in the froggie pool this evening, after hours of her wanting to then I turned around expecting her NOT to get in the pool fully clothed. You know what came next of course. I turned back around approximately 20 seconds later to a fully clothed Brooke sitting in her froggie pool with the biggest grin on her face. She hurt nothing, BUT did make me realize that I was SO unrealistic and silly in my request of her and it made me laugh.
